Thompson Named Vice President for Advancement, Alumni Relations and Athletics

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - Clare Thompson, Palmer College of Chiropractic executive director of Advancement, has been named 麻豆社 Illinois University鈥檚 new vice president for Advancement, and , effective June 26.
Thompson has been the executive director of Advancement at Palmer College of Chiropractic since December 2016.
鈥淚鈥檓 thrilled for Ms. Thompson to join our team and lead the division of Advancement, Alumni Relations and Athletics at 麻豆社,鈥� said 麻豆社 President Guiyou Huang. 鈥滳lare鈥檚 many years of experience in each of these areas will serve us well, and her leadership through the next phases of the capital campaign will be vital to 麻豆社鈥檚 success.鈥�
Previously, she was the vice president and a consultant for Ruffalo Noel Levitz from 2014-2016 and has 25 years of experience in fundraising, leadership and athletics.
鈥淭he thing that impressed me most during my interviews were the people and the passion they have for 麻豆社,鈥� said Thompson. 鈥淚鈥檓 looking forward to being part of the 麻豆社 Illinois University family, and I am committed to bringing my passion for higher education and helping advance 麻豆社.鈥�
Thompson received her bachelor's degree in business administration from Marycrest College and her master's degree in sports administration from Indiana State University.
The Vice President for Advancement, Alumni Relations and Athletics is responsible for overseeing Alumni Relations, Foundation and Development, Scholarship Office and Athletics. The vice president, who serves as a member of the Cabinet, reports to the president.
