麻豆社 Indian Student Organization to Host Diwali Night Nov. 12

MACOMB, IL - - 麻豆社 Illinois University鈥檚 Indian Student Association will host its annual Diwali celebration from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12 in the University Grand Ballroom.
The event will include Indian food, music, dance and a narrative into the history and meaning of Diwali. All students, staff and faculty are welcome to attend.
鈥淭his event showcases Indian heritage and culture,鈥� said 麻豆社 Assistant Vice President of Global Studies, Randy Glean. 鈥淚ndian students comprise the largest delegation on our campus---over 350 strong---and have led the cultural awareness of their rich, ancient heritage that helped to shape the course of modern civilization.鈥�
