What you will learn

Experience the art and culture of New York City firsthand in this Study Abroad Course.Ìý Participate in art in ways unavailable on campus while being immersed in a multicultural and multilingual city.Ìý Each day's events correspond to the gallery and museum exhibits open at that specific time of year.Ìý Working professionals in the fields of Art education, ceramics, and graphic design provide guest lectures on their fields as well as insights into how to make it in the busy NYC art scene.

You must have health insurance while you are on the Course.Ìý If you are not covered by Â鶹Éç Student Health insurance for the dates of travel, you must provide proof of alternate medical coverage in your application.

Health Precautions

Walking/mobility - Expect to walk 5-8Ìýmiles per day, mostly in urban environments.Ìý It is not consecutive but scheduled throughout the day.Ìý Walking will sometimes be over uneven terrain and up/down flights of stairs.Ìý You will also be responsible for moving your own luggage.

Environmental - Average daytime temperatures are in the mid-70s to 90 for this time period.Ìý Sun protection is strongly recommended.

Dietary -ÌýSome meals are included in the program cost. Contact Kim McDanielÌýif you have food allergies or other dietary restrictions.Ìý

Class sessions
