麻豆社 Tests given at UCC

The following tests are given at the University Counseling Center, by appointment only, at specific times during open business hours. Please contact Rebecca Flock at RA-Flock@wiu.edu for additional information. For a list of all tests and their prices please click聽 here .

American College Testing (ACT) Residual Testing
  • Results are reported only to 麻豆社 Illinois University. No Student Reports or High School Reports are generated, and no Additional Score Reports will be generated to report scores to any other institution.
  • 3 - 3 1/2 hour test, must wait 60 days before taking again.
College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
  • The College-Level Examination Program庐 (CLEP) gives candidates the opportunity to receive college credit for what they already know by earning qualifying scores on any of 33 examinations. Earn credit for knowledge they've acquired through independent study, prior course work, on-the-job training, professional development, cultural pursuits, or internships.

DSST
  • The nationally recognized DSST Program helps you receive college credits for learning acquired outside the traditional classroom through a suite of in college subject areas such as Social Sciences, Math, Applied Technology, Business, Physical Sciences and Humanities.
  • A form of prior learning assessment, DSSTs offer students a cost effective, time saving way to use their knowledge acquired outside of the classroom (perhaps from reading, on-the-job training, or independent study) to accomplish their educational goals.

麻豆社 Tests NOT given at UCC

The following tests are not given at the University Counseling Center, but the 麻豆社 Illinois University campus does serve as a testing site on reserved dates. See the listed website for test dates and registration information:

American College Testing (ACT) National Testing
  • The ACT is a national college admissions examination that consists of subject area tests in English, Mathematics, Reading and Science. ACT results are accepted by all 4-year colleges and universities in the U.S.
  • The ACT is administered on five test dates - in October, December, February, April, and June. In selected states, the ACT is also offered in September.

GRE (Graduate Record Examination)
  • The GRE庐 Subject Tests gauge undergraduate achievement in eight specific fields of study and can help forecast a candidate's potential for success in graduate school.
  • The GRE庐 is for any prospective graduate school applicant. Any accredited graduate, business or professional school, or any department or division within a school, may require or recommend that its applicants take the General Test, a Subject Test, or both.

LSAT (Law School Admission Test)
  • The LSAT is a standardized test required for admission to LSAC-member law schools, most Canadian law schools, and many non-ABA-approved law schools. It provides a standard measure of acquired reading and verbal reasoning skills that law schools can use as one of several factors in assessing applicants.
  • The LSAT is a half-day test, and is administered four times a year at hundreds of locations around the world.

SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test)
  • The SAT is accepted by nearly every college in America as part of its admissions process.
  • The SAT is typically taken by high school juniors and seniors.
